Export of a Database to PDF

As a rule, information is kept in several forms such as an electronic form and a paper form. It especially concerns the executed documentation or created databases, which in the majority of cases require a paper copy. If upon creation of a database in MyTaskHelper database builder you need to print your data, then this blog post will help you to do that. First of all, you need to export your data to a PDF format which makes it possible to print comfortably.

1. Open your document; go over to the “Records” horizontal menu. Choose the necessary table and draw your attention to the fact that there is a button for export of information below the name of the form specified by you.

2. By pressing it you will create a document of a PDF format with your data. It can be customized by hand as you need it.

3. There is a possibility to choose the size of paper:4 (8.3″ x 11.7″),3 (11.7″ x 16.5″),2 (16.5″ x 23.4″),1 (23.4″ x 33.1″) and0 (33.1″ x 46.8″). Just tick off the necessary size.

4. Choose the necessary page orientation – book (height is bigger than the width of the page) or album (height is smaller that width). Printing format is a table (a page contains the maximal number of records and notes) or one record per page.

5. If you export a grouped table to a PDF format, then the “Page break” menu will appear in the window of document’s setting – fill in every page/break after each group.

6. After you check the correctness of the chosen settings, press the button “Create PDF“. If you forget something it is not a problem. There is a button near that will get you back to the primary position.

An exported file of a PDF format will be sent to your registered e-mail address. In order to print data, the received file should be opened. Go over to the “File” horizontal menu and choose “Print” (for the convenience of users an icon with a printer is also available at the toolbar). You may need Acrobate ReaderTM to open your file. You also have a possibility of export to the widget’s format mentioned above (a set of records chosen by you on the basis of some features and collected in one table), by hiding unwanted columns of the database or records. The scheme of export is the same. The scheme of export of data placed in an integrated table to a PDF format is a little bit different.

1. Go over to the “Customize and Embed” horizontal menu.

2. Choose the “Database” tab in the appeared window.

3. Tick off “Export to PDF” in the “Actions” menu.

4. Press the “Export to PDF” button in the table’s heading.

5. Enter your e-mail address registered at the site and receive the document.
